About this Research Topic
Aedes mosquitoes (and Aedes-borne diseases) are a major concern of global public health and result in significant economic losses in many countries. Faced with a scenario without efficient therapies and vaccines available, this Research Topic aims to present some recent progress in the above in relation to Aedes-borne viral diseases, aiming to contribute new knowledge on this theme and novel strategies in the control of these diseases.
We therefore welcome original research, reviews, and mini-review articles in the Aedes-borne viral diseases field, primarily focused on the following subthemes:
- Aedes-borne viral disease pathogenesis
- Host immune response
- Novel diagnosis
- Potential therapies and/or future prevention
