About this Research Topic
We invite researchers to contribute original research and review articles investigating recent advances in aspects regarding multi–omic research on endocrinological and metabolic diseases including thyroid disease, diabetes, and obesity.
The association of T2DM, obesity, and thyroid diseases is unlikely a simple coincidence and requires a better understanding of the dysregulated metabolites, and biochemical pathways, and thus biomarker discovery and targeting therapy.
Submissions will be focusing on, but are not limited to, the following:
• Multi-omics approach to investigate the metabolic alterations associated with endocrinological and metabolic diseases.
• Exploring the metabolomic profile of patients with more than metabolic diseases.
• Investigating the changes in the biochemical pathway involved in the pathophysiology of endocrinological and metabolic diseases.
• The application of bioinformatics and artificial intelligence to mine new innovative strategies and biomarkers for endocrinological and metabolic diseases
Keywords: omics, endocrinology, diabetes, thyroid, metabolic syndrome, biomarker discovery
Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
