About this Research Topic
This review-only collection is a celebration of the Journal’s 10-year anniversary, and seeks to provide perspectives on the state of materials science field since the Journal’s launch. Here our Chief Editors’ will explore their vision for the future, creating a platform for discussion of current and future challenges.
Launched in 2014, Frontiers in Materials has grown to cover 15 specialties that span the breadth of the materials community. Each is led by a dedicated Specialty Chief Editor and supported by an Editorial Board of leading experts, encompassing over 6500 total Editors.
Frontiers would like to take this opportunity to thank and congratulate our Editors, past and present, for their work in realizing the vision of Open Science and establishing the Journals’ worldwide reputation – one that we will continue to build upon as we move into the next 10 years.
