About this Research Topic
In the coming decades, the resilience of agriculture will be challenged by extreme climate change events, such as increased temperature, drought, evapotranspiration, and wind, among others, altering the conditions for cropland species. This Research Topic will explore this hypothesis, aiming to disseminate insights from research as evidence of the effectiveness of agroecological practices to enhance the resiliency of agroecosystems and counteract the detrimental effects of climate change.
Original research, systematic review, and position paper on crop diversification (mixed or intercropping, agroforestry, crop rotation, landrace mixtures) and soil management (cover cropping, green manures, mulching, compost applications, conservation agriculture (minimum tillage, no-till)), are within the scope of this Research Topic.
Keywords: agroecosystems, agroecology, climate change
Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
