About this Research Topic
This article collection will provide insights on innovative approaches based on neuromodulation and neuroimaging techniques for the diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric disorders. The potential of these techniques for preclinical and clinical studies, that employ a range of stimulation and imaging tools for understanding brain function in psychiatric disorders will be explored.
We welcome submissions of Original Research, Case Reports, and Reviews, which contribute original insights into the application of neuroimaging techniques and neuromodulation as therapeutic interventions for psychiatric disorders. Manuscripts should cover topics related to techniques such as fMRI, EEG, DTI, MEG, PET, DBS, Motor cortex stimulation, tDCS, and TMS.
Manuscripts exploring the integration of neuromodulation and neuroimaging techniques with other therapeutic strategies will also be considered.
This article collection aims to contribute to the ongoing scientific discussion on the opportunities and challenges presented by neuromodulation and neuroimaging techniques for psychiatric disorders. It offers a unique platform for researchers and practitioners to share their views and present findings about these innovative interventions to improve human health and quality of life.
Keywords: neuroimaging, neuromodulation, neuropsychiatry
