About this Research Topic
Numerous researchers across the globe are currently focusing on improving efficiency, reducing costs, recycling, reconfiguring, and developing materials for solar PV systems. By utilizing renewable energy systems for daily needs such as power generation, agriculture, EV charging, among others, we can contribute to effectively achieving the SDGs. However, it is essential to assess and highlight the level of attainment of SDGs in ongoing research of solar PV systems. This topic aims to provide a comprehensive analysis of the goals and bridge the gap between research and the aim of research in SDGs.
This "Attainment of SDGs through the Advancement in Solar PV Systems" topic encourages research works on the attainment of any of the 17 SDGs through solar PV systems. We welcome authors to submit original articles describing their work and present high-quality technical notes and review papers for publication.
The Research Topic will primarily focus on the following, but they are by no means exhaustive:
• Advances in the effective generation and utilization of solar PV power systems
• Applications of solar PV systems for day-to-day needs like EV charging.
• Reports on the attainment of SDGs through renewable energy systems.
• Advances in modelling and optimization of photovoltaic systems using new techniques and methodologies for enhanced energy yield.
Keywords: sustainable development goals
Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
