About this Research Topic
Despite their significance, research linking transformative experiences, behavior change and the well-being of stakeholders in tourism, hospitality, and events is still limited but emerging.
Understanding the implications for practice has become increasingly relevant, given the Tourism, Hospitality and Events industry's operation within the socio-political and economic landscape. The design, creation, and management of transformative experiences can play an important role in all stakeholders’ well-being.
This Research Topic invites original research papers, conceptual studies, empirical investigations, review papers, case studies, and methodological papers that provide new insights into the potential impact of transformative experiences on the well-being of all Tourism, Hospitality and Events stakeholders, and how these are studied. We also seek to identify best practices for responsibly and sustainably designing, co-creating, and managing these experiences. By bringing together scholars and practitioners from diverse fields, this topic aims to advance knowledge and foster dialogue on this increasingly important subject within the tourism, hospitality, and events industries.
