About this Research Topic
In recent years, the rapid developments of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies have made new approaches for vibration engineering and vibration signal analysis in particular. New AI techniques allow to process of large data sets and recognize the significant patterns in vibration phenomena. The dynamic properties of mechanical structures can therefore be revealed and captured with applications of AI and machine learning technologies.
The Research Topic “Applications of Artificial Intelligence in Vibration Engineering and Big Data Analytics” aims to encourage scholars and researchers to present research achievements of state-of-the-art technologies with respect to applications of AI and machine learning. Authors are invited to submit their original work, including but not limited to:
- Artificial neural networks, deep learning including statistical analyses and explainability techniques;
- Data-driven vibration and big data analytics;
- Vibration analysis based on machine learning;
- Pattern recognition and pattern prediction including applications in vibration and acoustic-based condition monitoring;
- Tool condition monitoring using vibration signal;
- Big data analytics
