About this Research Topic
The goal of this collection is to promoting research and development efforts to advance sustainable food packaging technologies, such as biodegradable materials and eco-friendly packaging solutions, while advocating for conservation measures that optimize food production, distribution, and consumption, ultimately reducing both food waste and its associated environmental footprint.
The scope of this Research Topic encompasses various aspects related to agricultural and food waste management, including but not limited to:
• Innovative strategies for waste reduction, efficient utilization, and conversion of waste into valuable resources.
• The development and evaluation of sustainable food packaging materials and technologies.
• Studying the environmental, economic, and societal impacts of agricultural and food waste.
• Identifying policy and regulatory frameworks that promote responsible waste management practices.
We aim to provide actionable insights and recommendations for stakeholders in industries, governments, and communities to effectively address the challenges posed by agricultural and food waste.
