This research topic follows on from the excellent annual meeting of The British Society for Haemostasis and Thrombosis (BSHT). The BSHT is the main academic thrombosis and haemostasis society in the United Kingdom. The meeting was held between January 25th-27th 2023 at the Edgbaston Park Hotel & Conference Centre, Birmingham, United Kingdom. The theme of the meeting was on novel therapeutics and emerging technology and was attended by scientists, clinicians, researchers and laboratory staff. Exciting and engaging presentations ranged from novel models for studying haemostasis and thrombosis, interaction of the immune and coagulation systems, bleeding disorders, antithrombotic and thrombolytic treatment strategies and initiatives, case studies and rare thrombotic disorders.
The aim of this research topic is to collate further research and advances spurring from the theme of the 2023 BSHT annual meeting. This exciting topic will reach out to active members in the scientific and clinical community on the latest research and developments in the field of thrombosis and haemostasis. We welcome submissions from all aspects of this topic from laboratory testing, new methods through to patient clinical studies with thrombotic and bleeding disorders. We welcome all types of manuscripts including reviews and original articles or brief reports.
