About this Research Topic
Additionally, the 4th Generation District Heating (4GDH) concept, which aims to increase energy efficiency, and reduce energy demand and greenhouse gas emissions, is gaining prominence. Water scarcity is also a significant concern, affecting one billion people worldwide, with another three billion approaching the situation. Only 2.5% of the world's water is freshwater, and only 0.4% is the most valuable part. Adsorption cooling technology is one effective way of producing potable water and cooling from renewable and waste heat sources.
This Collection aims to bring together original research and review articles related to the advances in design, modeling, and performance of energy systems and devices, including boilers, reactors, adsorption desalination, and cooling systems. Additionally, the issue aims to gather research related to the modeling of complex systems with a focus on optimization by artificial intelligence algorithms, computational fluid dynamics, and other methods.
