About this Research Topic
This Research Topic on “Advanced Biomaterials Applied to Teeth Implant, Periodontitis, and Biomineralization” is to present the latest advances in the field of teeth tissue engineering and the significant progress of the therapies of medical techniques for teeth tissue repair and regeneration. The Research Topic will accept original papers and reviews relevant to novel biomaterials and advanced technology, such as dental implants, 3D printing implants, enamel remineralization and regeneration, dental tubule occlusion related to biomaterials, as well as other periodontitis therapeutic approaches using biofilm and drug clinically.
The topics and themes of this Research Topic include, but are not limited to, the followings:
• the design of novel biomaterials for the regeneration of artificial teeth
• novel mechanical model and analysis studies on the dental implant
• advanced biomaterials and methods for enamel mineralization and dental tubules occlusion
• advanced biofilm for periodontitis therapy, including loaded drug and clinical treatment
• interaction of organic proteins or macromolecules with biomaterials for teeth tissue regeneration
• 3D techniques in teeth design and manufacturing
• dental implant osseointegration
• tissue engineering for in vitro construction of artificial teeth
Keywords: biomaterials, enamel mineralization, periodontitis therapeutic, dental tubule occlusion, oral pathology
Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
