Parathyroid glands are crucial in the regulation of serum calcium levels. Parathyroid disorders have severely affected human health, causing long-term effects on multiple systems of the human body. There is an increasing appreciation for investigating advanced therapeutic strategies for parathyroid disorders, including parathyroid gland transplantation, molecularly targeted drugs for the treatment of parathyroid cancer, and calcimimetics for the treatment of hyperparathyroidism.
This Research Topic aims at talking about advances in the treatment of parathyroid disorders, including hypo- or hyper-parathyroidism, parathyroid glands transplantation, tumors of parathyroid glands, and complications in the treatment of parathyroid disorders.
