About this Research Topic
The scope of this Research Topic is to gather a comprehensive list of articles related to the role of Foxp3 in Treg transcriptome and Treg cell metabolism. The Research Topic will cover various aspects of Tregs ranging from basic research with metabolism and epigenetics and translational research.

We welcome the submission of Original Research Articles, Reviews, and Mini-reviews, including but not limited to the following topics:
• Role of metabolism in Treg induction, proliferation, differentiation, immune regulation, and apoptosis.
• Role of Foxp3 and his partner in Treg cells metabolism
• Role of Foxp3 and Treg cell metabolism in tissue-Tregs which regulate local homeostasis.
• Basic and translational research on Treg cells metabolism
• Current understanding of the role of Treg metabolism in autoimmunity, infection, or cancers
• Current understanding of how the microenvironment shapes Treg metabolism at the site of inflammation/tumor site
• Novel mechanisms and/or molecules determining Treg metabolism
Keywords: Treg cells metabolism, Foxp3, regulatory T cell, chronic inflammation and autoimmunity
Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements.
