About this Research Topic
Therefore, Frontiers in Cell Death is proud to offer this platform to promote the work of women scientists, across all fields of cell death and cellular stress and survival. The work presented here highlights the diversity of research performed across the entire breadth of crosslinks, intersections and pathways research and presents advances in theory, experiment, and methodology with applications to compelling problems.
We particularly invite submissions from those women researchers coming from less privileged countries and communities to help emphasize the cross-cultural and cross-communal aspects of scientific research.
For this topic, we encourage submissions that cover, but are not limited to:
- Interplay between autophagy and oxidative stress
- ER stress and autophagy
- How cell stress contributes to survival
- Studies using model organisms
Please note that to be considered for this collection, the first or last author should be a researcher who identifies as a woman.

Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
