About this Research Topic
In order to explore this fast-growing field, Frontiers is launching a new series of Research Topics focusing on the evolution of methods, processes, techniques and ways of thinking in Cancer Genetics and Oncogenomics that led to new discoveries and research approaches. In this article collection, we seek contributions exploring the changing context and the rising new perspectives within Cancer Genetics and Oncogenomics.
The emphasis of this series is on the dynamics of change and evolution of the latest progresses made, as well as on the evolving methods and responses in research across the field of Cancer Genetics and Oncogenomics.
This article collection will inform, inspire and provide direction and guidance to researchers in the field.
Articles based on, but not limited to, the following themes are welcome in this collection:
- Progress made in methods or techniques within the field
- Exploration of new knowledge or themes that benefitted the field in the last year
- Discussions around changes within Cancer Genetics and Oncogenomics that have led to new ways of thinking
Bioinformatic studies are welcome, however, these should not be based solely on analysis of publicly available datasets such as TCGA. It is essential to have an independent validation cohort for statistically significant confirmation of the findings communicated.
Keywords: Cancer, Genetics, Oncogenomics, Discoveries, Research Approaches
Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
