About this Research Topic
The main technical challenge of endovascular treatment for aortic pathologies is how to reconstruct and perfuse the vital branch arteries. Multiple techniques, such as Chimney technique, fenestration technique (including in-situ fenestration, on-table fenestration and customized fenestration), and branched stent-graft, et al, have been developed and are evolving to new dedicated endo-devices. These inspirational branch-reconstruction endovascular techniques and devices and their clinical results worth our attention.
We aim to investigate the best treatment modality, endo-devices designs and applications, and long-term results in the endovascular reconstruction of the branch artery during treatment of aortic diseases.
We welcome submissions on the following subtopics, but are not limited to:
- Endovascular treatment of infra-renal abdominal aortic diseases and hypogastric arteries reconstruction
- Endovascular treatment of thoracoabdominal aortic diseases: reconstruction of visceral arteries and advantages
- Endovascular reconstruction of vital branches of the aortic arch, especially the supra-arch branch arteries
Keywords: aortic dissection, aortic aneurysm, endovascular treatment, branch reconstruction, aortic remodel, branch artery perfusing
