Global climate change poses a serious threat to food security, human health and sustainable development, and has become a common challenge facing all countries in the world. The international community has recognized the importance of carbon emission reduction in combating climate change and achieving sustainable socio-economic development. The long-term goal of the Paris Agreement, signed in December 2015, is to keep the increase in global average temperature below 2 degrees Celsius. In recent years, more than 100 countries around the world have proposed carbon neutral goals. Carbon emissions are mainly generated by energy use in industrial production and residential life. Therefore, it is an important practical need to investigate the carbon emissions of industrial and residential sectors. This research topic will mainly focuses on the carbon dioxide emissions generated by industrial sectors and residents' lives and their influencing factors.
The goal of this research project is to provide a platform for the exchange of innovative ideas. We hope to build a comprehensive framework for analyzing the characteristics, spatial distribution and trend of carbon emissions in industrial production and residents' lives. We welcome all types of manuscripts, including original research articles, article reviews and academic arguments.
The scope of this research topic will include the following themes, but are not limited to:
• The relationship between international trade of industrial products and transfer of carbon dioxide emissions;
• Carbon transfer between regions;
• Carbon emissions of energy-intensive industries;
• Carbon emissions of residents' travel;
• Carbon emissions of the transport sector;
• Life cycle Assessment of carbon emission of the industrial chain.
Keywords:
Carbon trade, Carbon transfer between regions, Carbon emissions of energy-intensive industries, Carbon emissions of residents' travel, Carbon emissions of the transport sector, Life cycle Assessment of carbon emission of industrial chain, Impact of intern
Important Note:
All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
