About this Research Topic
An in-depth investigation of the interactions between those important pathogenic flaviviruses and the host, and clarifying the molecular mechanism will contribute to understanding the cellular responses and molecular pathogenesis of flavivirus infections, which are crucial for the development of novel and more effective treatments and prevention strategies.
The main goal of the proposed Research Topic is to bring together the key experimental and theoretical research focusing on the cellular responses to important pathogenic flavivirus and deeply elucidate the replication mechanism and pathogenesis of these viruses-related diseases. We welcome submissions of various types, including Original Research, Brief Research Report, Methods, Opinion, Review, Mini-Review, Perspective, and Hypothesis and Theory that focus on, but are not limited to, the following subtopics:
1. Flavivirus-induced host cells death (apoptosis, necrosis, pyroptosis and so on) and the molecular mechanism
2. Molecular pathogenesis of induced diseases including Japanese encephalitis, Dengue fever, and so on
3. Flavivirus and host immune interaction
4. Protein modifications in Flavivirus infection
5. Cells metabolism in Flavivirus infection
Keywords: flavivirus, virus-host Interaction, viral pathogenesis, cellular responses
Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
