About this Research Topic
The objective of this Research Topic is to investigate the complex relationship that exists between growth, oral malocclusions, and airways. Etiology, pathogenesis, and treatment effects should be addressed to provide an advance in the knowledge of these complicated and significant problems.
This Research Topic aims to provide an insight into these issues, considering in particular:
• Sleep-related breathing disorders, airways obstruction, mouth-breathing
• The effects of the treatment of airways disorders on malocclusions and oral function
• The effects of the treatment of malocclusions on airway function
• The etiology of breathing disorders and malocclusion, and their pathogenetic interactions
• The effects of breathing disorders on growth, from a local and/or systemic perspective
Systematic reviews, original research, clinical trials, method articles, and case reports are welcome in this Research Topic.
