About this Research Topic
Although diabetes and CVD are common in everyday clinical practice, their treatment is often challenging. However, recent findings have suggested that there may be therapies with beneficial effects on both diseases. The goal of this research topic is to explore close relationship between diabetes and CVD, with a focus on synergistic treatment approaches. Articles should provide an overview of novel therapies that impact both diabetes and cardiovascular diseases.
Specific themes of interest include but are not limited to:
1. Antidiabetic drugs with beneficial effects on the non-diabetic heart
