About this Research Topic
In this Research Topic, we aim to gather a collection of high-quality articles covering different aspects of Fungal Biology and Genetics, in particular, but not limited to the following subtopics:
- Animal/human interactions
- Metabolism and physiology
- Evolution, biodiversity and taxonomy
- Genomes and other -omics
- Plant interactions
- Sensing and signaling
- Genome function and epigenetics
- Development and morphogenesis
- Symbionts and endophytes
- Molecular tools
- Synthetic biology and biotechnology
- Regulatory networks
- Antifungals and resistance mechanisms
- Mycobiomes and microbial interactions
- RNA biology
- Fungal cell biology
- Biocontrol and natural antagonists
- Bioactive metabolites, secondary metabolites
- Stress and extreme environments
- Fungal epidemiology and diagnostics
We would like to invite our colleagues that intend to attend the meeting to submit their contributions. In addition, submissions from scientists that would not be able to join us in Innsbruck in March are also welcome.
Keywords: Fungal Biology, Fungal Genetics
Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
