Diabetes has become an increasingly prevalent global health concern which can greatly decrease the quality of life of those affected. The challenge is not only to treat diabetes but also to detect and manage the wide range of complications and related disorders. Bone health and fractures are a relatively new and currently overlooked complication of both type 1 and type 2 diabetes.
