About this Research Topic
The proposed Research topic is dedicated to the investigation connected with improvement of material circularity. The special attention will be given to the solution that will allow to save materials resources, for example by replacing virgin raw materials by different kind of waste, including industrial one. One of the exemplary technologies that allow this is manufacturing the building materials in the geopolymerization process. The other possibility is the manufacturing the zero-waste technologies or technologies with limited environmental burden. This kind of technologies allow to material savings. 3D printing can be an example for such kind of technologies. Joining these two ideas allows us to receive new up-cycled products valuable for the market.
• The improvement of material circularity trough the implementation new solution for modern recycling and up-cycling.
• Economic, environmental and social effects for implementing circular economy for materials solutions, including polymers, concreate and other industrial waste.
• Redesign of materials throughout the product life cycle, including multi-material compositions.
• Zero-waste technologies and technologies allows for material saving.
• Raw material savings, including mine tailings.
• Energy-efficient and environmentally friendly technologies and material solutions.
• Using industrial waste as the raw materials.
Keywords: polymeric and composite materials
