About this Research Topic
In this article collection, we aim
1) To elucidate the molecular mechanism of embryonic stem cells /mesenchymal stem cells directed differentiation and balance regulation into skeletal muscle and fat tissue;
2) To explain the mechanism underlying the regeneration of skeletal muscle upon injury;
3) To establish the molecular mechanism for the balance regulation of development between adult skeletal muscle and adipose tissue;
4) To uncover the molecular mechanism of remote regulation of skeletal muscle and fat tissue as well as the maintenance of metabolic homeostasis
We welcome contributions in form of Original Research articles, Reviews and Mini-Reviews that cover but are not limited to the following topics :
• Molecular mechanisms regulating the development of skeletal muscle and adipose tissue
• The molecular dialogue between skeletal muscle and adipose tissue during development,
• Energy regulatory mechanism of the skeletal muscle development
• The metabolic homeostasis regulation between fat tissue and skeletal muscle
Keywords: Skeletal Muscle, Adipose, development, regeneration, metabolism
Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
