About this Research Topic
This Research Topic aims to timely reflect on the new progress of pediatric craniopharyngioma, introduce new technology, new experience, and new results of clinical and related basic theoretical research in the field of neurosurgery. The Topic is open to all interested researchers.
In this Research Topic, we would like submissions that review the medical and surgical management of these tumors with a focus on clinical presentation, diagnostic identification, surgical approach, and associated adjuvant therapies. We would also like articles that discuss current treatment paradigms using endoscopic, open, and combined approaches to craniopharyngiomas. The management of craniopharyngiomas requires a multidisciplinary team of surgeons, endocrinologists, and neuro-anesthesiologists, as well as neurocritical care specialists, to deliver the most comprehensive and safest surgical resection with minimal postoperative morbidity.
