About this Research Topic
This Research Topic aims to explore and document the complex linkages between adolescent oral health and their mental, sexual, and reproductive wellness. By understanding these connections, the goal is to develop and promote multifaceted health strategies that address these interlinked aspects comprehensively. Manuscripts that provide empirical evidence supporting the integration of health services for adolescents will be particularly valuable.
To gain a broader understanding of these multifaceted health issues, this Research Topic will focus on the range of dynamics at play. We invite basic, clinical, and implementation studies around, but not limited to, the following themes:
• Evidence for the interconnectedness of preventive and treatment approaches;
• Evidence of the use of a common risk factor approach for management of children/adolescents.
This scope will enable a comprehensive examination of the overlapping areas of health during adolescence, aiming to boost integrated health care approaches.
