About this Research Topic
This research topic aims to bring together articles from different fields of medicine to explore the relationship between DM and PD. Our goal is to publish studies that can update our understanding of the complex relationship between DM and PD, and further discover multidisciplinary therapeutic strategies of these two types of diseases.
Specific themes of interest include, but are not limited to:
• Progression and prognosis of PD in patients with DM
• DM as an contributing factor to the development of PD
• The role of PD in the incidence of DM and it's complications
• The underlying mechanism of the two-way relationship between DM and PD
• Therapeutic strategies for patients with both DM and PD
All article types accepted by Frontiers are encouraged.
