Model organisms represent an invaluable resource for fundamental and applied research, allowing for prediction studies, modeling, and the identification of action mechanisms.
This article collection will discuss the use of Drosophila melanogaster as a model organism to investigate the cellular and molecular mechanisms governing neuroinflammation and neuropathy in the context of neurodegenerative diseases and with a special focus on noncoding RNAs.
