About this Research Topic
This special edition Research Topic aims to inspire, inform, and direct researchers in the field by providing a thorough overview of the area.
This special issue will look at the most promising advanced manufacturing techniques and materials for energy-related applications, as well as how to integrate different properties to achieve multifunctionality. A multidisciplinary approach is inherent in the research fields, beginning with fundamental material knowledge and progressing to chemical and/or physical interactions during deformation, characterization tools to study such properties, and their dependability for energy applications.
