About this Research Topic
Since aging and related disorders have various manifestations at cellular, proteomic, transcriptional levels, integrative analysis is vital in identifying targets. This Research Topic aims to study the underlying mechanisms of aging and related disorders with specific attention to molecular targets with immune-regulatory potential. Through bioinformatics analysis and/or basic experiments, novel molecules can be screened and tested. On the ground of this, this topic welcomes research on developing, screening, analyzing, or testing new agents with immune-regulatory effects to treat aging and related disorders, such as diabetes, sarcopenia, and cancers.
In this Research Topic, we welcome original papers, reviews, letters, and systematic reviews, including but not limited to:
• Mechanisms and targets identification of aging and related disorders, including cancers;
• Application of immune-regulatory agents in aging and related disorders in clinics;
• Discovery of novel targets with immune-regulatory effects against aging and related disorders;
• Translational research of novel targets to regulate the immune response in aging and related disorders;
• Genome-wide association or network pharmacology approach to identify a novel link between medications and diseases in aging and related disorders.
Original research based solely on in silico techniques will not be considered for review.
Keywords: Aging, inflammation, immune-regulation, drug, targets, chronic diseases, tumors
Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
