About this Research Topic
Reviews in Brain Imaging Methods will publish high-quality scholarly review papers on key topics in Brain Imaging Methods. It aims to highlight recent advances in the field, whilst emphasizing important directions and new possibilities for future inquiries. We anticipate that the research presented will promote discussion in the Brain Imaging Methods community that will translate to best practice applications in clinical, public health and policy settings.
The Reviews in Brain Imaging Methods collection welcomes full-length, mini or systematic review papers. New articles will be added to this collection as they are published.
We welcome review manuscripts on, but not limited to the following themes:
• Methods and protocols for the use of high and low field magnetic stimulation in neurological diseases and healthy brains
• Novel PET methods, tracers and data analysis techniques
• Cutting edge MRI methods, pulse sequences and protocols for data analysis
• Currently used PET methods for imaging neurodegenerative diseases including recommendations for improvements and further developments
• Suggested improvements and expansions of modern MRI methods used to image neurodegenerative diseases
• Best practices for MRI pre-processing pipelines
• Environmental effects of electromagnetic fields and their relationship with different pathologies
