About this Research Topic
The goal of this Research Topic is to provide updated and novel information on the functions and signaling mechanisms underlying the regulation of p90RSK and its family members, as well as their roles in disease pathogenesis and the potential therapeutics targeting these important kinases.
For this Research Topic, we invite authors to contribute Original Research and Methods articles using integral in vitro and in vivo models, as well as Review, Mini-Review, Hypothesis and Theory, and Perspective articles on any of (though not limited to) the following topics:
• Functions of p90RSK and its family (cell growth, migration, and survival).
• Mechanistic regulation of p90RSK and its family (upstream mechanisms and downstream substrates).
• Role of p90RSK and its family in oxidative stress.
• p90RSK and its family in cell-cell communication.
• Role of p90RSK and its family in cardiovascular diseases.
• Role of p90RSK and its family in pulmonary diseases.
• Role of p90RSK and its family in kidney diseases.
• Role of p90RSK and its family in cancers.
• Role of p90RSK and its family in inflammatory diseases.
• Inhibitors of p90RSK and its family and their implications in therapeutics.

Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
