About this Research Topic
Edited and run by rising stars in the field, this collection will touch on a broad range of issues facing the community, including but not limited to:
• High-mountain ecosystems in the global South
• Biodiversity loss in the context of environmental justice
• The biogeography of Human–Environment interactions
• Causal relationships and mechanisms in macroecology
All Rising Star researchers were individually nominated by the Biogeography and Macroecology editors in recognition of their potential to influence the future directions in their respective fields. The work presented here highlights the diversity of research performed across the entire breadth of biogeography, and presents advances in theory, methodology and findings with applications to compelling problems across this field.
New articles will be added to this collection as they are published. Please note that contributions are decided by topic editors only.
