About this Research Topic
The goal of this Research Topic is to advance light manipulation with a focus on the following areas: Raman imaging, image storage, carrier dynamics and nonlinear optical processes, and spin optoelectronics. This collection will allow readers from industry and academia to understand the current progress of optical manipulation and reach new ideas for future applications.
We welcome Reviews, Original Research articles, and Perspectives, in themes including but not limited to:
• Design, synthesis and characterization of novel functional materials and waveguide structures for optical process control.
• Studies on the relationship between material structure and optical properties of novel compounds
• Advances in Raman imaging with the ability of attenuation and elimination of fluorescence background
• Polarization hologram storage using organic molecules
• Studies on carrier dynamics and nonlinear optical processes in: nanostructures, fibers and 2D materials
• Spin optoelectronics studies in novel materials, such as chiral materials and semiconductors
Keywords: Raman spectrum, polarization optics, light-matter interaction, fiber optics, spin control
Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
