About this Research Topic
This topic aims to celebrate the excellent contributions of women scientists in the field of nanomedicine. It will serve as a platform to feature the important work done by women researchers, to highlight their dedication and contribution in the field of nanomedicine. Publication under this topic would help them to gain recognition to advance their work and career. It is hoped that this collection of work would inspire and motivate fellow women scientists in this field, to continue to strive for better accomplishments in nanomedicine research.
We welcome submissions of work related to nanomedicine and nanoformulations. All original research and review articles are invited. The following subtopics are included, but are not limited to:
• The design and optimization of nanoformulations for therapeutic or diagnostic purposes
• Physicochemical and biological characterization of the nanoformulations / nanomedicine
• Evaluation of the performance of the nanoformulations in in vitro, ex vivo and in vivo studies
• Biodistribution studies of nanomedicine
• Safety and toxicology studies of nanomedicine
We strongly encourage the submission of manuscripts where the lead and/or corresponding author is female. However, we will welcome the submission of any article within the scope above irrespective of gender.
Keywords: nanocarriers, nanoformulations, nanoparticles, drug delivery, controlled release, drug targeting, biodistribution
Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
