About this Research Topic
In this Research Topic, we would like to employ genomics, proteomics, transcriptomics, and brain imaging to identify biomarkers that can be useful for the diagnosis and prognosis of perioperative stroke in elderly patients. We welcome authors to contribute original research articles, review articles and perspectives/opinions.
Potential sub-topics include, but are not limited to:
-Molecular and cellular biomarkers for perioperative stroke diagnosis and prognosis in elderly patients
-Immunohistochemical histopathologic biomarkers, imaging biomarkers, or Serum cell-free DNA as a biomarker for perioperative stroke in elderly patients
-Classification of perioperative stroke subtypes by biomarkers
-Technological progress in biomarker discovery in perioperative stroke
Keywords: Biomarker, Perioperative Stroke, Elderly Patients
Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
