About this Research Topic
Therefore, investigations of underlying mechanisms and clinical interventions on cardiovascular metabolisms are urgently needed. The objects of this research topic include: deciphering physiological regulation pathways involved in cardiovascular metabolism; exploring the molecular basis underlying impaired cardiovascular metabolism in response to pathological stress; developing novel assessments to monitor the alterations of cardiovascular metabolism in the fact of stroke, heart attack and cardiac dysfunction; and providing the novel insights into therapeutic approaches to treat cardiovascular disease.
This research topic is devoted to encompassing preclinical research and clinical studies on cardiovascular metabolism under pathological stress, ranging from the molecular mechanisms to implications of clinical practice.
All original research, review articles, mini reviews, and case reports on the following research themes are welcome: investigating the physio-pathological roles and regulation of cardiovascular lipid and glucose metabolism; providing an advanced understanding of metabolomics in the pathogenesis of cardiovascular disease; identifying novel imaging methods and biomarkers for diagnosing of cardiovascular metabolic disturbance; shedding a light on the potential treatment strategies for cardiovascular disease by maintaining metabolic homeostasis.
Keywords: metabolic disorders, cardiovascular disease, molecular mechanisms, biomarkers, treatment
Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements.
