About this Research Topic
This Research Topic covers a wide spectrum of studies of genetic and proteomic biomarkers that contribute to the research filed of diagnosis and treatment in solid tumor. Research from laboratories, results from clinical trials or reports of interesting cases are within the scope of current Research Topic. Pure in silico studies without experimental validation will not be considered for this collection.
Potential subtopics are included, but are not limited to:
1. Identification, characterization and validation of genetic and proteomic biomarkers that are associated with solid tumor susceptibility, diagnosis, and therapeutics.
2. Novel techniques for identifying or capturing genetic or proteomic biomarkers in solid tumor.
3. Translational research bridging the gap between our incremental knowledge on the association of solid tumor biomarkers and characteristics, outcome of cancer patient in clinical practice.
4. Case reports of rare cancer types or interesting cases in solid tumor associated with genetic or proteomic biomarkers in clinical practice.
Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
