About this Research Topic
This Research Topic aims to advance our understanding of endocrine, genetic, and epigenetic mechanisms that regulate livestock reproduction and development, specifically, pre-implantation development, implantation, fetal development, and parturition.
This Topic will focus on (I) hormone/growth factors secretion, (II) gene expression and regulation, (III) epigenetic regulation, (IV) multi-omics analysis, (V) environmental toxicity in reproductive and developmental endocrinology. We welcome all scientists studying livestock developmental endocrinology to submit their contribution in order to offer to the scientific community the most updated and in-depth picture of the field at the cellular and molecular level. To allow sharing novel data and to open new perspectives on the topic, we welcome Original Research Papers, Review Articles, Opinions, Methods, Hypotheses & Theories, and General Commentaries.
Keywords: Livestock, Development, Endocrine, Epigenetic Regulation, Gene Expression and Regulation, Reproduction
Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
