About this Research Topic
It is important to identify, and learn from, health system interventions which have been used to prevent the spread of, prepare for, contain, and/or mitigate against COVID-19. Knowing this can support decision-making in the forecasting, organization and management of health services as the COVID-19 epidemic evolves. However, there is dearth of research and systematic synthesis of evidence on the synergistic relationship between integrated health services and COVID-19 pandemic preparedness around the globe.
We therefore welcome original research and review papers contributing on the application of integrated health service delivery approaches during the COVID-19 pandemic. Such research may include integrated health service delivery for pandemic preparedness, response, and/or recovery for or during COVID-19 as well as facilitators, barriers and outcomes of integration.
