About this Research Topic
The proposed Research Topic covers a wide range of multidisciplinary areas. On the preparation of the materials, one key task is to find optimal compositions to achieve stability yet maximize physical response to external electric field. Another key task is to develop electro-responsive materials with various physical responses. On properties testing, the key task is to find testing methods to measure the response more accurately. On engineering applications, the key task is to explore their applications in such fields as materials, mechanical, civil engineering, biomedical, space, and electronics.
We welcome authors to submit Original Research papers, Perspectives, Reviews, and Minireviews. Areas to be covered in this Research Topic may include, but not limited to:
• Preparation of electro-responsive materials
• Characterization and modeling of the complex physical behaviors
• Developing new testing methods of physical response
• Understanding of the complex behavior using novel methods
• Design of innovative devices using electro-responsive materials
• Proposals and analysis of the new engineering applications
