About this Research Topic
This Research Topic is devoted to the cellular and molecular mechanisms of neuro-immune communication in brain injury and on the meaningful exploration of how the nervous system regulates the immune system to promote neurofunctional recovery after brain injury.
We welcome high-quality contributions from neuroscientists worldwide on basic research and clinical studies. The following article types are accepted for submission in this Research Topic: Original Research, Minireview, Review, Perspective, and Case Report. We particularly encourage submissions on, but not limited to, the following topics:
- Detection of neuro-immune communication
- Cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying neuro-immune communication
- Factors affecting and modulating neuro-immune communication
- Intervention strategies promoting/inhibiting neuro-immune communication
Keywords: Stroke, Trauma, Neuroplasticity, Neuro-Immune Communication, Neurorehabilitation, Neuroprotection
Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
