About this Research Topic
The goal of this Research Topic is to address the recent advances in various synthesis processes and properties of nanomaterials and their integration into electrochemical biosensing platforms. We would like to cover advances in nanostructures and nanocomposites in terms of their synthesis, characterization, modifications, and applications in various enzymatic and affinity based-electrochemical biosensors. The impact of using novel nanomaterials on improving the sensitivity, selectivity, and biocompatibility of the electrochemical devices and their applications on different areas such as food-safety, diagnosis, and environmental monitoring will be covered.
We welcome various article types, including Original Research, Mini Reviews and Perspectives on themes including, but not limited to:
• Carbon nanomaterials and their electrochemical biosensing applications
• Various methodologies for preparation of metal-based nanomaterials and their sensing applications
• Nanocomposites: synthesis and characteristics in electrochemical biosensors
• Integration of nanomaterials in aptamer-based electrochemical platforms
• Nanoparticles and their use in electrochemical signal amplifications in biosensors
• Nanomaterials in electrochemical immunosensors
• Nanomaterials in Enzymatic biosensors
