About this Research Topic
Based on the biological features and physiological functions of the EVs, they are important cellular messengers that can provide relevant information on the mechanisms triggered by a pathological and/or altered condition. Understanding the signs has the potential to allow the development of the therapeutic use of EVs as delivery and diagnostics.
For this topic, we welcome Original Research articles, Reviews, Brief Research Reports, and Mini-Reviews that cover, but are not limited to, the following topics:
1.EVs in the communication between the host and infectious agents (viruses, parasites, fungi, and bacteria).
2.Protocols and methods of EVs isolation and quantification.
3.EVs in other non-infectious diseases and conditions.
4.EVs as a tool for therapeutical applications.
5.EVs as a tool for diagnostics
6.EV biogenesis
7.EV release
