About this Research Topic
The main purposes of this issue:
1) Introduce interstitial brachytherapy (including physical aspects and radiobiology)
2) Highlight the significance of local therapy with modern brachytherapy techniques as an alternative for stereotactic radiotherapy
3) Illuminate the different implementations of interstitial brachytherapy (curative and palliative intent)
4) Expand on the current diagnostic methods helping identify patients suitable for brachytherapy
We welcome Original Research, Case Reports, Reviews and Opinions as well as prospective trial initiatives regarding brachytherapy as monotherapy or in combination with other treatments.
