About this Research Topic
Over the past decades, the interest in casein kinases has constantly grown as demonstrated by the huge number of papers published on this topic. Nevertheless, ever-new aspects related to the pathophysiology of this group of enzymes are continuously emerging. With this Research Topic, we would like to create a forum where researchers can share with the scientific community their latest discoveries and circulate their reviews on different aspects of the casein kinases research field. In particular, special attention will be devoted to topics that might generate a breakthrough into the understanding of the roles of casein kinases in pathological conditions exploiting multidisciplinary approaches.
This Research Topic aims to assemble Original Research Articles, Reviews, Mini Reviews, and Perspectives that highlight the latest advances of research on casein kinases and the implications of these discoveries for human health. Areas of interest will include, among others, the following:
• Therapeutical opportunities associated with casein kinases modulation
• Mechanistic aspects underlying the implication of casein kinases in human diseases
• Structural aspects of casein kinases functionality and interactions
• Development of novel theragnostic strategies.
