About this Research Topic
This Research Topic seeks to analyze the impact of the use and abuse of technologies in academic adjustment (academic performance, learning goals, motivation, etc.), in social adjustment (interactions with parents and teachers, interactions with peers, substance abuse, delinquency), and in emotional adjustment (emotional intelligence, mental health). Further, we would like to provide information to education professionals, parents, students, and society in general about the consequences associated with the use and abuse of technologies and how these problems are related to academic, social, and emotional imbalances. Recognizing such relationships allows the promotion of effective measures against this problem.
Thus, this Research Topic seeks papers on specific issues such as:
- Bullying
- Cyberbullying
- Teacher-student relationships
- Mobile phone addiction
- Addiction to online games
- Emotional intelligence
- Mental health
- Delinquency

- Quality of family relationships
Empirical studies (qualitative or quantitative) and high-quality systematic reviews will be considered.
