About this Research Topic
Although extensive studies over the past three decades have revealed a comprehensive map of light signal transduction in the model plant Arabidopsis, a better understanding of the light signal transduction pathway in crops or knowledge of light signal transduction in agricultural applications is still lacking. The goal of this Research Topic is to provide an overview of recent advances in light-mediated development in plants.
We welcome submissions of original research papers, reviews, and methods, including (but not limited to) research on the following sub-themes:
-Photosynthesis and chloroplast biology
-Light perception and signaling
-Light-mediated hormone or abiotic/biotic stress signaling.
-Optogenetics based on plant light sensory systems.
Keywords: Light signalling, Photoreceptors, Photosynthesis, Photomorphogenesis, Optogenetics
Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
