About this Research Topic
This Research Topic aims to cover recent advances in matrix biology to understand the mechanism of tumor progression and its therapeutic development. Research studies defining the precise role of the matrix in cancer biology to develop prognostic, diagnostic and therapeutic approaches are encouraged.
We invite submissions of original research articles, brief reports, case reports, reviews and perspective insights focused on cancer matrisome biology and therapy. The research areas include, but are not limited, to:
• Deciphering the mechanistic pathways influencing matrix biology and drug response
• Discovery of matrisome related biomarkers used for prognostic, diagnostic and therapy
• Development of in vitro and in vivo preclinical and clinical models to study matrix modeling
• Targeting tumor-matrix biology using clinically relevant therapeutic models and devices in precision medicine
• Spatial-temporal kinetics of matrisome related signature and its therapeutic implementation
Keywords: Extracellular matrix, matrisome, heterogeneity, therapy resistance and tumor progression
Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
